See what a Quote Pack contains

Know what you are asking for before spending $9.90.

Illustrative format — not a patient case, live offer or booking.

No hospital availability or personalised price is being claimed in this example. Your own pack must distinguish published evidence from provider-confirmed information.

01 · Your request

Example: an overseas self-pay visitor exploring a non-urgent MRI in China, with a preference for an English report. A treating clinician still needs to decide what scan is appropriate.

02 · Provider options

A named shortlist, the relevant service route, and whether we have a current provider response. A published fee schedule alone is not confirmation of eligibility or a slot.

03 · A cost breakdown

Hospital charges, MedLantern's service fee and optional travel or translation costs shown separately. Each figure has its currency, scope, source date and confirmation status.

04 · Before booking

What still needs checking: referral requirements, appointment availability, report language, image delivery and arrangements with your own doctor for follow-up.

Example: an MRI cost breakdown

This shows how published evidence and unconfirmed costs appear together. It is not a personalised quote and does not confirm a slot.

Hospital charge · published reference

Beijing United Family Hospital — CNY 5,000–6,000 for an MRI scan. Its published price list covers one body part, processing and the diagnostic report; medicines and disposable supplies are excluded. A consultation, contrast requirements, English report arrangements and your total bill still need confirmation.

Hospital's official price list · checked 28 October 2026. A published price is not a provider response to your case.

MedLantern fee

US$9.90 for the agreed written Quote Pack, paid separately after scope and timing are confirmed. It does not pay for the MRI or book a slot.

Other costs

Registration or consultation, translation, transport and accommodation: not included or confirmed in this example. Your own pack should identify these before you commit.

Open checks: clinical order, exact scan protocol, appointment availability, language and format of the report, and how your home clinician will review it. These are questions to resolve, not assumptions to put into a total.

What your $9.90 does — and does not — buy

It pays for the agreed written information pack, not a medical appointment or scan. Where we cannot source a reliable answer, the pack should say so. If we cannot provide the agreed quote, the fee is refunded. The fee is credited toward a later MedLantern service.

Send a request first. No payment is taken by the form. We agree scope, payment method and delivery timing before starting.
